Roger Federer was not allowed to make a mistake against Kevin Anderson and did the necessary to continue the semi-finals of the ATP Final Tournament in London. Basel`s Maestro scored 6:4, 6:3 over the South African player who had secured a place in the final via record of sport picks four before this match. The two other Lennon Heath group tennis players - Kai Nishikori and Dominic Team - did not come to it.
Federer was threatened to drop out if he did not take at least one set, but this opportunity was quickly eliminated. In the seventh game he won three consecutive break points and led 4:3. Anderson immediately made a rebate, but only to surrender once more. In spite of logic, Federer could not safely close the set. At 0:40, however, the winner of 20 Grand Slam titles demonstrated his huge class and eventually took his own - 6:4.
The second set was irreleva nt to both of them. The only thing left was to find out who was going to finish in the group. Anderson played more freely and with the help of his powerful serve he kept his equilibrium up to 3:3 when he made two mistakes and was stabbed again. This time Federer did not hesitate and soon the game was over.
On the other side, a sure semi-finalist is the leader in the world rankings Novak Djokovic. For the second place to play in the big four of the tournament, Alexander Zverev, Marin Cilic and John Isner argue.
