The Augsburg team achieved a 2:1 win over their Hannover 96 match in the 9th round of the Bundesliga. This is the third successive success in the German elite for the Bavarians as a guest of this rival. The goals for the winners were Rani Khedira and Alfred Finnbogason, and for the home team it was Ihlas Bebou. The Augsburg guests took the lead as early as the 8th minute when Kedera turned out to be the most nimble after shaking the corner and sending the ball into the opposing door. By the end of the first part there were no other serious situations for the two teams. Similar was the situation in the second half to the 63rd minute when Genki Haraguchi played with his hand in his penalty area and the referee ordered a penalty for the Bavarian team. Finnbogason filled it and turned it into a goal. The hopes of the hosts revived in the 72nd minute when Bebou lowered the gap with a beautiful shot from the border of the penalty area , but no more hits in the match by livescore draw picks and so the victory went to the visiting team.
With today`s success Augsburg climbed to 8th place in the 12-point ranking while Hannover was on the 16th position with only 6 points out of nine matches.
