The former Borussia Dortmund coach Thomas Tuchel commented on his separation with `the yellow-black` which had surprisingly come just two days after winning the Cup of Germany.
`When strong personalities face off against each other, then there is a tension. But in any case, I am not the victim in that situation, for God`s sake!`, said Tuchel in front of the press.
`Until the last moment, I believed that we will achieve understanding. The meeting was arranged at a hotel rather than the training ground. I told myself "who knows". I thought that surely we will have lunch together and then we will have an open conversation.`
`But the meeting ended after a quarter of an hour and the management informed me of their decision.`, added Tuchel, commenting for the first time openly his dismissal.
